A meeting to discuss the opposition to the tour

The Clare College Choir has arranged to tour Israel at the end of December 2009. Many concerns and objections have been privately and increasingly publicly raised, both within and beyond Clare College and the University. This meeting will be a platform which allows concerned and dissenting voices to be heard and we have asked a range of speakers from within and outside the University to join us in discussing the reasons for concern and opposition, by offering their own personal perspectives, these include:

 - Yazeed Said (Chaplain, Corpus Christi College)
- Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi (Teacher and activist with Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods)
- Nancy Elan (Violinist with the London Philharmonic Orchestra)

We hope you will join us; whether to hear and better understand the reasons for concern and opposition to this tour, to support the choir’s stance, or to be part of and learn from the discussion.

ALL WELCOME
