This presentation will take the form of a dramatised reading with video clips, slides and music. It is the story of Mohamed Altawil’s early life and aims to give some personal insights into what it has been like to be a Palestinian in Gaza, not just in recent months but over the past few decades.
Dr Mohamed Altawil came to the Univeristy of Herts on a Ford Foundation
Scholarship to do a PhD on the efects of Chronic Traumatic Experience
on Children of Gaza.
David Harrold is a member of Windows for Peace UK, which brings
together Palestinian and Israeli children. He is also a trustee of
the Palestine Trauma Centre. Theatre work includes performances in
West End and Edinburgh Festival, he formed Cadco Production to tour
regional theatres, schools and universities.
Sylvia Pepper is a signatory of Jews for Justice for Palestinians and
a member of PSC. Sylvia has been Artistic Director of Barn Theatre
in Welwyn Garden city and served on various theatrical awards panels.
