After being evicted with the Hanoun family in East Jerusalem, he lived in the village of Bil’in for six months, participating in the weekly non-violent demonstrations and resisting against the military incursions that followed, before travelling to Gaza. He was the only person among the 1400 foreigners in Cairo who managed to do so.
He has lived in the Palestine for 8 months from 2009-2010.

**LOWKEY** Lowkey is a musician, poet, activist and playwright. He first came to fame through a series of mixtapes he released before he was 18. He is featured on BBC Radio and appears at various festivals and concerts including the Electric Proms, Glastonbury, T In The Park and Oxegen in the build up to his first solo album.
In February 2009, he travelled to Palestine and Palestinian refugee camps around the West Bank area to perform fundraising shows to help rebuild the Gaza Strip but was detained by the Israel Police for nine hours at Ben Gurion International Airport and was interrogated. Later in 2009, he travelled to Gaza on a humanitarian aid mission to bring medical aid to the Palestinian people.
His singles Long Live Palestine part 1&2 reached No.1 on the itunes and amazon hip hop charts. ————————————————-
